The background story on the show "All the Time" is that it was after cold war and the rise of nuclear products and technology. The arts and literature were set aside bringing about focus on survival alone. I think if I could have a background story on the show and relate it to these times, I will have the story of the rise of capitalism and competition because people just consume every time. There is no time to go for the appreciation for the arts and all its forms but it also hinders us to see the beauty of life and contentment because of greed and gluttony. We will all live in this world where people do not know how to stop and just appreciate the beauty of living. Yes, we have new technology set before us to address our needs but there is the thing of living simply as well, so that others may live simply too. And that's the point of the story of "All the Time". We are bound to have all the time in the world and appreciate its splendor by just simply living and not to be selfish on overly consuming.

WE HAVE TIME to change our attitudes
In the course of watching "All the Time", I had a feeling of uneasiness already. The man who was victimized from the start till the end was really pitiful. What he had was more of a psychological torture. It was really sad to see something like. Significantly, what happened to him is a story filled with background stories on what was happening during those days and how it affected a man like him. Perhaps if I could change the circumstances that happened to him and relate it to what's happening nowadays, it will also end up the same. Let's say that he will still end up having no time to figure out himself through the arts or seeing the essentials. For him being just an appreciator of the beauty of life and the arts was victimized by man's lust for power and misuse of technology. Destruction will be all around him.
