Goodbye moon, I'll see you next June...

I have mostly bad opinions on the show because I'm used to shows with actual conversations and despise the whole trying-to-understand-what's-happening-with-just-video thing. Sure the video was made in 1902, but I couldn't believe the concepts they had in traveling outer-space. It is also possible that the video's inaccuracy was on purpose and used as comedic gesture to make fun of real scientists who study all these things. Just the not knowing why the movie was made makes me hate the movie already.

On the first scene, I already didn't understand what was happening. When the man presented his proposal on going to the moon, I couldn't understand the other men's expression, if they were rejecting the idea or not. Next, the concept of using a canon to project their bullet-like ship to the moon was an interesting idea. It was wrong, but interesting. Another thing I hated was their representation of the moon with a frigin' face on it. Then crashing on the moon-face's eye hole was creepy, especially with the gushing of blood coming out of the crater.

Arriving on the moon, they came out of their small ship with no preparation whatsoever on the outside environment. This shows two things about people during that period; one is their over-excitement on unknown things that they'd forget to prepare for the worst (this was also proven when the video showed different weathers on the moon and the poor chaps weren't prepared for any of them) and; the other is their lack of knowledge in the non-existence of breathable oxygen in outer space.Their portrayal of life on the moon was quite amazing. They showed that the moon people lived underground to explain why people on earth don't see life on the surface of the moon. But are the moon people really so weak that they can't beat old men with umbrellas? We'll never know.

Their trip back to earth was fascinating. To think that they'd show an edge of the moon and just falling from said edge would send them back to earth. Also the floating bullet-like metal ship floating on water is bizarre and wrong. I'd accept it if there was like some airway or propeller but there isn't. Then again the whole show defies the nature of physics. F*ck physics I guess.
