The Fly

After watching the movie The Fly, I realized how powerful technology is, that it can even destroy lives. In the movie, a scientist, Andre Delambre, was able to invent a technology to make teleportation possible. He tries to teleport objects to test his invention, and then tries to use it on himself. While he was doing so, he came contact with a fly and exchanged body parts as they were teleported. His wife, Helene Delambre, tries to find the fly to be able to return his husband back to normal.
The film was entertaining and interesting because its an old movie and it had that different essence which the movies now a days don’t have. Also, it gave the sense of entertainment and mystery whether what Helene was saying was true and whether will she be able to catch the fly or not.
Andre Delambre’s desire for new discoveries and improvement science and technology caused him his life. This shows that even though the human mind is blest with great knowledge, there are still limits to what we can do. We should be careful in handling technology, especially if it involves our own very lives.
