Google Days: Technology Today for a Better Future

What we have today is something that the people then have never imagined us to have. The advancement of our technology that keeps making our lives easier is something that we take for granted. We tend to believe that it is only natural that these things to be all around us and that we should let other people to continue developing it. What we don't know is that in our own ways, we can also help create a lot of things that will lead to the betterment of our technological world as well in our society.
In the event, "GDaysX" sponsored by Google, I once again understood these things. I only planned to attend the morning part of the program because I thought that it would be a boring event and as along as I meet the requirements set by Sir Sonido, I would be able to write my reaction paper. But after listening to the first two speakers, I figured that the event is not boring at all and that the topics that they were discussing is very important and very informational.
Though I was able to see all the discussions and talks, I would only share my thoughts on the first three talks.

 The first talk which was delivered by Miss Gail Tan of Google Philippines is simply about the reminder that everything that we do in the internet is done for a reason. No matter WHAT the reason, we do it for someone-- and this someone are the users or the consumers or the customers. We must always keep in mind that we always need to realize that for the things that we do in the cloud to be successful, we must always ask "What do they need?" We must pay attention to what our consumers are saying so that in the process we will be able to improve our business and at the same time help other people.

I liked how she delivered her speech and I completely agree with her. What good is a business if it's only done for oneself? Even a person who is not an entrepreneur will realize that this is a very crucial point. This is something that we must never forget and always be kept in mind.

The talk that followed is delivered by Mr. Herald Uy. It is basically about the use of Google for Entrepreneurs| Communications Tools for Business like GMail and Hangouts. The part that he gave so much emphasis is the word collaboration. Nowadays, business is very rarely done alone. We are social beings and we always seek the companion and help of others and to achieve this, we must first have clear communication. Collaboration in technicalities is defined as the work of several or a group of people to reach a certain goal. And how do we achieve this through our technology today? This is where GMail and Hangouts come in. These applications are very useful in contacting other people especially with those whom we can't see personally due to distance and other circumstances.

I am very amazed though I already anticipated that this kind of thing isn't really impossible anymore. With this kind of improving technology that helps in all kinds of communication, we can't blame miscommunication as a problem anymore. We already reached the point in which communication is available with just a click of a button. That's why we must use this kind of technology seriously and wisely.

The fourth talk was delivered by Trixie Canivel of Google about Youtube for the business. Everyone already knows that Youtube is a famous site for viewing videos of all kinds of things. But how will Youtube help the business? This is very simple,it helps us to tell te people about what your business is about, it helps showcase your product or service, helps build your brand, helps us to develop a relationship with the clients and lastly it helps enhance your online presence.

Like all technological things that we have around us, Youtube is something that we should use very carefully and wisely. A lot of people use Youtube that's why everything that we post here will surely reach someone, it could make you famous and ruin you at the same time. That's why this is both helpful and very crucial for the business that we endorse.

I know that it had been repeated a lot of times and is already very cliched but we must not take advantage of the technology that we have today. We must contribute in every way we can to improve the place that we live in. And we must use what we have to do day with the thought of its consequences always in mind.
